Working as a team to lead District 205 into the future
Welcome to my website! As you learn about me, you will understand my focus is on quality education, student success and the financial health of District 205. In my professional life, I successfully transformed organizations and programs raising the bar of performance for each employee. As the only incumbent board member on the 2019 Ballot, residents have seen my commitment to the successful transformation of District 205.
You see, after my election is 2011, the new board began to work as a team to lead the district through this transformation. We started by actively listening to the community, staff and legislators on what they viewed as priorities for the district. From there, we developed a strategy and analyzed what the district needs to be successful in this process. We formed committees for each of the key transformation goals, inviting district staff and the community to participate. We brought the new, forward thinking leadership into the district, including Superintendent Dr. Dave Moyer. Along with Dr. Moyer, the Board has led and the D205 team has made significant strides in improvements that are designed to educate a generation of future-ready learners.
I welcome the opportunity to continue the work we’ve begun by serving the community in a third term on the School Board. My approach will continue to be working collaboratively to achieve success. I look forward to serving you and leading our district to excel. Show your support by voting for me, Karen Stuefen, on April 2nd.
